This paper deals with two aspects of the modelization of dynamic crack propagation with the eXtended Finite Element Method (X-FEM). On the one hand, it describes an integration method for the enriched element which is particularly well-adapted to the case of non linear material behavior. On the other hand, it proposes a new technique to update the level set functions based on the use of an auxiliary grid
